Tremendously entertaining, scholarly yet accessible, weaving through the myths surrounding Alexander the Great and coming up with what is most probable. The language is beautiful and Robin Lane Fox’s enthusiasm for this most charismatic and enigmatic of men is contagious. I am going to listen to it again.

At times his British accent was a little thick for me understand some words. Had to rewind and re-listen to what he was saying. I loved his enthusiasm for the subject though.

really enjoy all the Moder Scholar series lectures I've listened to. This one is super informative and helps to fill in gaps of what is told of Alexander

it is quite a treat and very intersting to listen to Prof. Lane Fox in person. a very new and positive experience to have the author and eminent history professor read his own book. Such a deep knowledge! the flipside however is that 10-15% gets lost due to the simple fact he is not a professional narrator (although quite good).
