Unabridged Audiobook
Beautiful and touching
Great listen
Want a story about a controlling but stereotypically fragile sounding female character? Would not recommend this book.
Nicholas Sparks does a wonderful job of bringing the reader into each character's life through the thorough, descriptive style in which he introduces his characters into the storyline. I have spent many hours these past two months being entertained by Nicholas' talented mind and the emotional life's of his characters.
Very enjoyable. Easy to get into and follow... not the ending I expected or wanted, but a good book none the less.
This is the 2nd book by Nicholas sparks that I have listened to, and I think it's official, I just don't care for his stories. I kept waiting for something to actually happen in this story...somthing more than regular life, but it never came. The beginning was so slow I almost gave up. But I love the narrator, David Aaron Baker (from Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas books), and I'm guessing that is why I put it on my list in the first place.
Ugh! I couldn't even finish it. I had to keep turning it off and then go back to it. It would just lose me in all the "sap". I agree with the "anonymous" WAY too sappy and really the story went nowhere. There was 7 discs of just babble. I did not connect with any of the characters. As a matter of fact, I really could not stand the Lexie character. Her dying was so predictable that I just decided to stop it there and return it.
not as good as other Sparks books, but a good one at that. Sparks is always one to make you stop and think, and look around you before you jump to conclusions. Great book, and if you like sparks, read it!!
This was another great book by Nicholas Sparks! Of course, some paople may not realize that this is a sequel to True Believer, so make sure you get that one first! All of his books are wonderful...you can't go wrong if you like a good romantic story and aren't afraid to cry :-)
This starts out to be an easy read book...but it gets more profound as it goes along in the book. He is and excellent writer!
This was a big disappointment... anti-climactic and extremely sappy.
this book was very good although very sad. I enjoyed it very much
It was great. I love the characters and the sappy story. I recommend this book.
This was so good. I sat in my car in my driveway and couldn't shut it off. Can't wait till to hear the next one.
I enjoyed this. It had a meaningful ending. Through all the ups and downs of married life. the gossip of a small town and the love and trust of family and friends
I liked the book overall--didn't LOVE it. But all of a sudden, the story took me by storm and I was crying like a baby. I was driving and nearly had to pull over I was sobbing so hard! Recommend it.
This book was alright...it kept me awake in the car anyway. I did not listen to True Believer first, but it does not seem like it was necessary to. Kind of slow at times, but also entertaining other times.
I loved this book. I looked forward to getting into the car to listen to it. The narrator was fabulous and really brought every character to life. I am sorry to see this 2 book series end. I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever been in love or wants to be in love. We should all be this lucky!
Another tear jerker by Nicolas Sparks. Don't read without tissues in the car! I was totally sucked in the life of Jeramy Marsh. I loved it.
Book was just okay or could have been included in first book True Believer. It was nice to finish the long journey. I think I will wait a long time until reading another Sparks books.
Not one of Sparks better novels. I don't think anyone will be anticipating this as the next movie of the week. It was better than listening to the radio but if I had something else to listen to at the time I would not have finished it.
Awful -- I wished I had left the tale of Jeremy and Lexie at the end of True Believer. This book did not need to be written and I am sorry I ever listened to it -- what a downer. I'd give it 0 stars if that were an option.
This was one of the most enjoyable books I have read in a long time. I recommend it . It is a sweet love story and a little sad but worth the read.
I am very glad I didn't read the review from the person in Livermore, CA before I listen to this book because how dead wrong they were. I loved this book. I laughed and cried and was sorry when the book was over. I am very glad I read the book and I think you will too if you listen. Bravo Nicholas Sparks!!
This book may be written by a famous author, but it is not his best work. In a way this story is like one of those romantic Danielle Steele books, but without the descriptions of passion, and from a male perspective. The lack of conflict in this book, besides trivial arguments and misunderstandings between the two lovers, makes this story uninteresting. The author should have spiced it up a little, created more conflict or shortened the story. The surprising and sad ending left me feeling sad that I had read the entire book. I'd skip it.
