Unabridged Audiobook
I do not normally listen to novels / fiction. the dialogue and characters of this story kept my attention.
A tragic but necessary story. The author did a wonderful job of showing the love between the characters, through story telling. Definitely worth the listen.
Very powerful and depressing. I think you need to dig deeply to find the silver lining in this story. I was almost in tears at the end of the book even though the protagonists achieved their goal, The price they paid to do so was extremely high.
A compelling story, laying bare the brutal realities, inhumanity and senselessness of war. It shines a light on the harrowing life of refugees and the resilience and bravery required to survive. The narration added even more depth and reality to the characters.
It was good but confusing at the end of the book.
A humbling book that reminds us of how fortunate are we that live in a free and stable country. A book that reminds us of struggles of good people in war torn nations and the plight of the refugee.
Excellent author with artistic descriptions that are beautifully phrased but not too long with details. I hope she writes more.
This is a delightful read !
