Benched is a contemporary sports romance told in dual pov, however their is no actual hockey being played in this lovestory. That being said, it does revolve around hockey players just more on a personal level. Their is a mixture of characters including sweet one's along with caddy ones. Some you will hate, others you want to punch some sense into them. Oddles of melodrama swirling throughout the narrative. Romance seeping through to finally give them their hea. Narators CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton portrayl had it so I felt like I was their watching it play out in front of you. The two narrators individually acted out their parts realistically. The pace and tone was smooth. The naration was entertaining.

It was a great listen. Adam and Julia had a difficult go but the story kept my engaged from first second to the last. Would definitely recommend it!

I loved this story! The main characters are likable and relatable. For all his success, the H is still just your average guy. I was slightly annoyed with how oblivious he was to all the crazy going on with the ex though... The narrators were spot-on for their roles! I loved their voices and story telling. I think they were perfectly matched.
