Unabridged Audiobook
Absolutely loved it!
Just ok. Easy read to pass time. Nothing memorable though.
Another absolutely wonderful piece by Nicholas Sparks. His descriptive writing style draws the reader in and brings each character to life in such a way that it is almost impossible to put the book down. I cannot wait for the next book.
Like all of Nicholas Sparks books, this book didn't disappoint me. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever had to learn to trust again after having a broken heart. Thank you again Mr. Sparks for bring me a book that captures my heart.
This was great, but i should have read the unabridged version. It probably has a better flow.
Never to be let down, I think Mr. Sparks does a wonderful job again. What a romance.
Mildy entertaining. Predictable, narration was a bit annoying. The good thing is that it improved by the 3rd CD.
Predictable. Somewhat annoying characters. Not as good as some of his others. Interesting info @ the town.
Did not care for the reader. Miles came across as an absolute jerk - not someone I would care about getting to know, much less form a relationship with. About half way through it was obvious what had happened and where the story was going, so my interest started to wander.
I couldn't wait for another commute and then was sad when the half hour drive was over. It was a great mystery romance. Terrific narrative style. I wish I had gotten the unabridged version, only because this one ended too soon.
I didn't expect much, but it was better than I thought. Not great, but better than expected. it's kind of like a mystery/romance... more mystery than romance though. not at all like "The Notebook"
Story was good and typical of Nicholas Sparks. However the narrator was annoying with this accents and tones. This one would have been better if I read the book myself.
I did NOT like the reader. His intonation was all off. I found myself thinking he read meaning into it that wasn't there. Also, the story had me up until about the 3rd CD, then I found myself swearing at the characters. They needed a counselor in the story. Yeah, it could have been all about that!
It was predictable. Not a very memorible book. I had to read the preview prior to writing this review to recall what the book was about... not a good sign. However, it was interesting enough to entertain me during my commute. Just not anything extraodinary.
I found myself sitting in my car after trips were over, just to hear what was coming next.
The words: wordy, bombastic, circumlocutory, diffuse, flowery, fustian, rhetorical, talkative, talky, tautological, tautologous, tedious, tortuous, windy, yacking, give you a pretty good idea of how tedious this book becomes simply because of too many words, too few ideas. The only interesting thing I learned from this book was that the author has five children. Other books with this same wordiness are The Bridges of Madison County, and The Horse whisperer. Run, don't walk.
A wonderful story that kept me captivated until the very end!!!
Nicholas continues to write enjoyable stories. I have appreciated his understanding of personal relationships and his ability to weave the story in such a way as to compel us to continue to read. Great job.
Recommend - not one of my favorites, but an enjoyable "read" with a good story.
