Unabridged Audiobook
Did not enjoy this book at all. Very disappointed in the content and the narration.
didn't really care to much for it. not sure if it was the book or narrator but I caught myself losing interest from time to time
Bill Nye is absolutely awesome. Loved him as a child and still do!
It was boring, but not horrible
Couldnt keep listening. The narration need work
Could not get past the reader's voice; delivery is not right for this genre. Bill Nye is a funny man though the gems are scattered.
It’s dull. Lost interest from time to time.
What is this?!? Not funny at all. Also, not Bill Nye the science guy.
I could not get through the entire book. I did not even smile at the funniest moments. maybe I stopped listening before the funny parts?
Extremely boring only got about five minutes in
For Nye fans, and others...not so much.
It is pretty good so far, I think if you like a slow book, read it!
fantastic great excellent super
An very enjoyable listen. Not too complicated and very funny at times. Loved it.
Very uninterested read.
BAD 100% DO NIT RECOMMEND AT ALL
OK but didn't find it that funny
You sound like a robot recording
It is grate for me and it is grate
10 outstanding
This is a Librivox recording. Librivox is a well meaning collective which aims to provide free (or possibly, very low cost) audio books accessible to a wide audience. Unfortunately they aren’t any good at producing audio books. The problem lies with their use of complete amateurs as readers. Reading a book for a recording takes the sort of vocal skills that only a professional actor can provide. What’s surprising about Librivox is how reliably, consistently bad their ‘readers’ are. You’d expect the occasional gifted amateur to get a chance, but Librivox have an uncanny ability to choose hopelessly inept readers for their audiobooks. This particular example of a Librivox reading is like an object lesson in how not to read for an audience. No sympathy for the subject, the language or mood - it’s just embarrassing. How did this guy get the idea that he could read a book for broadcast? Who thought that his complete lack of understanding of the text allied with a grating, deeply irritating voice was going to be listenable? I’m sorry, but Librivox recordings really aren’t worth bothering with.
Short chapters full of wit and interest! Phil did a great job narrating!
glitching. disappointed
Threw in the the towel after 25 minutes of boredom. I kept waiting for the humor that never arrived. Take a pass on this one.
Just dreadful
I didn’t rlly like it
I was able to make it past the "Directions" and through Chapters 1 & 2. I really feel that this Librivox narrator is trying to hard to make this very dry book into something more. I knew going in that this isn't a modern book on funny thoughts or sayings. Maybe, for someone who remembers this older Bill Nye, there might be enjoyment in this book. However, for me it sounded like the reading of a factual diary or an attempt at a memoir. I just couldn't stick with it.
I skipped the whole thing I like book mostly funny books byt I couldn’t even make it through 1 minute I think it’s the narrator
Dreadful voice
Did not think this book was very good not my favorite needs some work on the narration.
