Summary
Newly released movie tie-in edition!

Meet Bridget Jones -- a 30-something Singleton who is certain she would have all the answers is she could:

a) lose 7 pounds
b) stop smoking
c) develop Inner Poise

Here is the laugh-out-loud daily chronicle of a hilarious year in the life of the devastatingly self-aware Bridget Jones; a year in which she resolves to: reduce the circumference of each thigh by 1 1/2 inches, visit the gym three times a week not merely to buy a sandwich, and form a functional relationship with a responsible adult.

Bridget struggles to keep her life on an even keel -- or at least afloat. Whenever her plans meet with disaster, she manages to pick herself up, go out on the town, and tell herself it will be all right in the morning, when life will definitely be different this time and totally alcohol, calorie, and perverted-misogynist free.

Bridget Jones's Diary will make you like yourself for precisely those things you're most ashamed of. And through it all, Bridget Jones will have you helpless with laughter, and shouting,
"Bridget Jones is me!"

This book was dreadful. Absolutely unrelatable. The narrator was unique but occasionally frightening. I give this book a "Booooooooo! !!"

I really liked this book. It was hilarious!!! Loved the narrator; she really put character into her reading. Had to watch the movie and loved it.

What a great listen! Had a lovely time during my commute - laughed and smiled and nodded my head in understanding and became very thankful that I'm not single and 30 any longer. Very entertaining.

The narrators voice was so cute, but the story was so dull! Sadly, I finished it and was as disappointed with the ending as I was the beginning...

Definitely a laugh or two. I think most can relate on some level. Worth a listen.

I actually like the narrator a lot. Her british accent and delivery put me right into the story - which was funny and engaging. People who can't deal with accents might not like it - she talked fast. But I thought it was really the perfect voice for the story and she represented the characters well. I love listening to chick lit on the way to and from work - I can really get lost in it and not have to think to much.

I connected so much to this book. While the actual events will likely not mirror your life, some of the overanxious fears and family reactions/questions will. I found this book endearing and humorous. I'm glad I was alone while listening as I found myself laughing out loud. Very cute book.
