An unidentified cadaver is found in the rear of a taxi, the poor taxi driver is shocked and distraught. The hapless State Police attempt to name the man, but having exhausted every conceivable avenue of investigation, and with no remaining leads to follow, turn to the Carabinieri, but they also fail. Twenty-year-old amateur sleuth Kim is once again called into action. She must help identify the suicide victim, who prior to his demise had undertaken considerable efforts to eliminate any possible method of establishing his origin or his identity. She follows the convoluted path wherever it may lead, and endures mishaps and enjoys adventures along the way, but inevitably achieves her goal.
