A Charming Single Dad

Jordan Del Toro, a well respected wedding planner in California, has traveled to Charming to attend as as be the wedding planner for her brother’s Max wedding. A former Navy SEAL. She’s happy for her brother, but working in a place she has no connection in, is not ideal and already creating problems. She’s also not looking forward to seeing again the best man, Rafe Reyes. Former Special Forces he is the man that she loved and thought she would marry until he left to marry someone else and now has a child. What Jordan doesn’t realize, is that Rafe has never forgotten her, that he’s divorce, his daughter is with him, and she really doesn’t know the whole story. Watching these two navigate through a minefield of feelings, the past, the present and the possible future only made this reader wanting them to get their HEA. But will the baggage they both carry be too much, especially when they live miles apart and have already been hurt before? Can they trust each other and their love? It was a touching story about second chances in love and new beginnings. The only con for me was that I had not read the previous stories and though this is could be considered a stand alone, characters from previous stories are frequently present in the story, so their particular stories are missing. Still an engaging story with likable main characters. I have to confess that for me, the narrator was just ok. I was entrusted a copy of this audio book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
