Unabridged Audiobook
I truly enjoyed the 1st book I heard by Joanne Fluke but this was disappointing as far as a Mystery as described. It found it to be more of a cookbook for Bakers!! It took 2 hours before any mystery began. Filled with too many other details and recipes for a want-to-be sleuth like me!
I really hated this book. I have read/listened to all of the books and this one, that is supposed to be from the beginning, does not have a correct timeline. It really bothered me that Mike Kingston and Norman Rhodes were well established in this book, but Tracy was a baby and Andrea was not a real estate agent yet. Also, Hannah did not get a personal computer until long after the rest of her family was using them and she was one of the last holdouts to get a cell phone as well. It just did not follow the same storylines that I have seen in the other books and, when listening to the book, it is difficult to keep up with the story when there are recipes, sometimes more than one, after every chapter. I was bothered by the fact that Michelle had a problem that was mentioned in the story, but there was never any resolution and she was never featured except to have that issue. Why say anything at all, because you feel obligated to mention the third sister? It just did not feel that this was written by the same person.
