Unabridged Audiobook
My first audio book- - LOVE IT. Feels nostalgic, I'm from a family of readers and have many happy memories of my mother reading to me - even before I was born. The narrator reading The City is perfect. His (the hero's) authentic voice makes it easy to visual the place and character descriptions. I haven't finished the book yet because I do not want it too end. That is how good the story is and how much I enjoy the narrators voice talking this story to me. Thank you - everyone! My favorite way to spend my ever more precious free time. ESCAPE TO THE BOOK. Hope to have many more precious minutes after retirement- just 10 short years away.
Some koontz books are corny but most are pretty good , this is one of the good ones , the narrator was excellent as well , and made it very entertaining
Very different offering from Koontz I thoroughly enjoyed this story which intertwined with what was happening at the time.
Good story line. I appreciate all the details.
Love it! I listened to it in one day! I love Dean Koontz! I hadn’t read one of his books in a longtime! Now I plan to listen to the Jane Hawk series! I enjoy audio books because I have a problem holding a book! Now I can enjoy a good book once again! Susan Borodemos
Unique perspectve. Very interesting, believable characters. Gripping story. Lots of suspense. Koontz at his best! Well-narrated!
this was a good book and I really enjoyed it, the narrator did a great job.
Listening to this book was like sitting in a room while a new friend told you his story. The narrator was outstanding
Always a wonderful writer and I love the narrator too. Koontz never disappoints a very good storyteller!!
Totally different from most Koontz. Still suspenseful, but not as spooky. Celebration of classic music, especially swing and jazz. Creates an immersive world with a vivid feel, reminiscent of Gaimann.
Genius This is the 2nd novel I've listened to by Dean Koontz. I was so caught up. Brilliantly written. The characters were all so individual. I felt like I knew them. I laughed and cried. The narrator was 5* and brought the characters to life.
The narrator was great, he really channelled the character through the storytelling skills. In terms of the story, it was very interesting to listen to the main character retell his past, but the story itself ... is a bit bland.
Really enjoyed the book and the person narrating.
Ok read
Loved it! Koontz has a way wit words and I always enjoy his way of storytelling. The narrator did a masterful job in changing his pitch and inflections - - deep, warm voice, just right for telling the tale.
