I was really low when I ordered this book but I actual feel like I’m working through my issues. I know it’ll take a lot of time and practice, but I now have the tools I need and a plan in place. I completely recommend this book for anyone struggling with anything mood-related at all. PMS / depression / anger issues / overeating. The science is solid. It works grea
As for being effective, I am more than satisfied. I had little knowledge of CBT prior to reading this. It explained the basics and background thoroughly. A must read for anxiety reduction. The author hits it on the head in a simple to read and understand way.

I've read and practiced CBT , REBT techniques outlined by guys like Ellis and Burns for years. This book has been added to my resources on this subject. He covers the gamut of CBT and, most importantly, adds new material from research that has been conducted since the originators of this very effective therapy ( mindfulness for example).
