One of my favorites so far! Loved the element of Eve's suspension and how she handled it.

It was more emotionally wrenching than any of the other Dallas mysteries. The familiar characters were as lovely as usual to explore and listen to. I enjoyed yet another, in the long line, of these stories.

I’ve read this whole series and going back and listening to them in order now. I somehow missed this one but I remember a comment in a later book about there still being a chill between Eve and the commander from an earlier incident. Now I know the incident. A really deep story showing how much that badge MAKES Eve.

Really enjoy JD Robb books can’t get enough. Everyone is more exciting then the last. The narrator is amazing it’s almost like I am watching it happen. Looking forward to the next

A good story with an empowered woman is refreshing. The narrator is great. Listening allows me to accomplish projects while enjoying the story. That provides some personal empowerment.
