Unabridged Audiobook
One of my favorites so far! Loved the element of Eve's suspension and how she handled it.
This story was excellent. It really humanizes Eve and we get a chance ot see her vulnerable side. I've said before that I wish Ms Robb would keep the graphic details of Eve and Roarke's sex life out of the story. The stories in the "In Death" series are always excellent and the sexually explicit stuff does nothing to enhance them. If I wanted a porn book, I would read one.
I’ve read this whole series and going back and listening to them in order now. I somehow missed this one but I remember a comment in a later book about there still being a chill between Eve and the commander from an earlier incident. Now I know the incident. A really deep story showing how much that badge MAKES Eve.
fantastic story, suspenseful, interesting, and makes you wonder about whatbthe future will look like. narrator does an amazing job with the characters
Really enjoy JD Robb books can’t get enough. Everyone is more exciting then the last. The narrator is amazing it’s almost like I am watching it happen. Looking forward to the next
beyond anything I expected.
A good story with an empowered woman is refreshing. The narrator is great. Listening allows me to accomplish projects while enjoying the story. That provides some personal empowerment.
Another excellent book in the "In Death" series. JD Robb is an excellent author. I wait on pins & needles for the next "In Death" series. This one is especially thrilling and exciting and full of suspense until the end of the book. The other part was when Eve was suspended. It would be nice if the audio books could be produced when the paperback book hits the stands.
Have enjoyed J.D. Robb's Death Series. I have not listened to them in order so I come across what I call an "A Ha" moment sometimes. In this book I had two "A Ha" moments with the introduction of two characters that goes on to become regulars in future books. The first was the young rookie policeman Officer Trueheart and the other was Louise DeMotto, M.D. It is exciting to uncover these little gems. The big pearl in this book was a surprise to find in such a story. When I use to teach I always looked for a teachable example in a book. I felt having the students read a non text book for a lesson was helpful. For any psych/soc student the of identity crisis the Dallis went through with the suspension of the badge is classic. This was dramatic but is similar to what happens to some people when they retire and loss their identify. Great Book.
Once again, a wonderful book. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in any of the "In Death" books. They keep me thoroughly entertained on my commute to and from work daily. I don't want to get out of my car when I reach my destination. I always enjoy the characters distinct personalities and how the reader has these very identifiable voices that I have come to know and love in every book. FANTASTIC TO THE END!!!!
Typical Eve Dallas book. Love the characters. Great Story.
