Summary
Abbey

Some scary-looking aliens have just boarded Fortuna Tau, our little asteroid mining station. Kordolians, by the looks of things. What the hell do they want with this floating rust bucket? What are they even doing here?

Come to think of it, I've never seen a Kordolian up close before. They're huge and intimidating, with strange silver skin and pointed ears. They have freaky nano-armor, and they're packing a serious arsenal. We Humans stand no chance against them.

When I encounter their General, I find him insufferable. Arrogant. Domineering. He won't tell me anything. I guess that's what happens when your race is kicking ass across the Nine Galaxies. You get pigheaded.

So why do I keep running into him? Why does he keep looking at me like that? And what's with this weird feeling I get when he's around? I really hope these guys fix their ship and go away soon, because I get the feeling they could be major trouble.

Tarak

Sucked into a wormhole during a fierce skirmish with an enemy ship. Spat out near a Human mining station in a remote corner of the Nine Galaxies. Stuck with weak Humans who operate with inferior metals and technology.

This mission couldn't get any worse.

We need to fix our craft, kill the cursed Xargek, and get out of here before the wormhole collapses. I don't really care about these Humans. Their existence makes no sense to me.

So why has this strange Human female captured my attention? She's messy, awkward, and she babbles nonsense half the time.

These Humans are crazy. I don't understand them at all, especially this female. Why do I keep coming back to her?

I need to leave this place before I go insane.

Contains mature themes.

I actually really liked this one. The opening up to the general story premise, and the general made me love it. I loved the layout and the introductions to the characters throughout the story.

I previously read this book a couple years ago and thought it would be good to listen to. I really enjoyed the book and kept me entertained. My only issue was the narrators. They did a good job but their voices were not how I saw the two main characters so it was a little distracting. Overall I recommend!

I actually enjoyed this book. I don’t read a lot of alien romance books but this one had everything I like usually. The science fiction, space travel, different species mixed with action, drama and a lot of heat. I didn’t enjoy the ending however because if felt kind of like a cliffhanger and I am anxious to see what happens on Earth. However, Tarak is one serious alpha male who will stop at nothing to protect his human. It did start a little slow but the attack was amazing and this little human is not at weak as you would like to think. I will definitely try to continue with the series.

The story is alright and i like it but the female narrator was terrible, there was no life in her voice, she made the character sound silly and slow, made her sound like the stereotypical dumb blonde, quite disappointing. Narration can really make or break the book.

I have to agree with the other review, I really like it when there is a male and female narrating a story. Brings it to life I think. And the story was good as well. If I'm not caught within the first 5 minutes of the story, I won't listen to it. This one did, I'm pleased to say.

Audiobook was great, I do enjoy when they have a female and male narrator for it. I thought it was an interesting plot, this world seems in the future and Earth has colonies in space. The general is a rough guy but due to his mating fever he is receptive to a human female which is outside the norm of what his society allows. I am not sure which book to read next, book 2 seems the next step but chronologically book 4 is next.

Being someone who can lose interest in a book in minutes, this book is great. The storyline flows and is easy to follow. Overall the book is well written although just a teenie tiny bit cliche nonetheless I really enjoyed this book and all its steamy parts.......*wink wink *
