Unabridged Audiobook
Sorry, Ms. Howard, but after years of enjoying your work, this one left me cold. The only character who was even halfway developed was the crime boss but this went down the tubes when he "suddenly" discovered that he was in love with Drea. NOT believable. There was absolutely no reason for the hero and heroine to fall in love. She was trash and he was an unknown element throughout the story who appeared willing to settle for seconds, or thirds, or. . . The only section of the book I thoroughly enjoyed was "Heaven", particularly when Drea came face-to-face with her son. If this had been worked more, it could have gone a long way toward explaining Drea's change of heart and behavior.
