I really didn’t know what to expect, having only read a few of the more famous books Mark Twain wrote. I knew he was known for humour, so I enjoyed the first part of the story. However, the rest was quite shocking and sad. Definitely not a feel good story. But I expect he wanted to use the shock to raise awareness of certain things happening.
The Narrator was fine for being the voice of the dog throughout the story.
