I love love love the reader!!! She has wonder cadence, delivery and different “voices”. I would purchase the phone book if she read it! I love the story and series as well, and just simply can’t get enough Outlander!

Started very strong, lost interest a little over half way through but continued on. Then it got really good again. Left me wanting the next book in the series.

The second installment of Claire and Jamie Fraser did not disappoint. It's particularly interesting to hear what's changed between the show and the book.

Didn't want it to end! Glad that I had read 'Outlander' first or I'm not sure that it would have grabbed me as much as it did. L would have liked more resolution in the book, it's obviously set up for a sequel, and personally that's not something that I like.

A totally absorbing story with so much history. the narration is mesmerising. Now for the next instalament!

Brilliant story, wonderful characters and absolutely brilliant narrator. Even though the book is very long, you keep wanting more. I'm completely fascinated by Jamie & Claire and their lives in the 1700s.

I enjoyed this book. Narration was great. It's rare that a sequel matches the original story, however this story rises above the first book, which in itself is a powerful read. Can't wait to read the next. The series strengthens my love for my wife.

I first read this book in hard back in the 90s. I love the contrast of the extreme abundance of France they experience, vs. the deprivation of their time on road with the Jacobite warriors. The new characters introduced are interesting and well fleshed out and and the twists in the plotline are unexpected. I also like that she puts a different face on Prince Charles than the usual, excepted personality. The amount of research that has to go into her stories is staggering. Not just the big things like the war, the Gaelic language and medical treatments of time, but the small details that make Claire a real 20th century English woman. I was very surprised to find out that the author is an American. The narrator has such a beautiful and versatile voice that it is usually to tell which character is speaking. Like many Americans, I am entranced by a lovely english accent and I could listen to Davina Porter all day. Truth be told, some days I have.

One of my favorite books ever! Love, betrayal, war, sex...it’s got it all!

I love 'historical adventure' and this absolutely blew me away! This second book in the saga (of I think its a 6 book seris) was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed 'Outlander' (the first book) but this 2nd one.. WOW!! Diana Gabaldon is my new 'Favorite Author' taking the place of 'Wilbur Smith' by a hairs breadth. This tale is in a genre of its own surely because it has pretty much everything in one. Political intrigue with the 'Jacobite rising', sci-fi with time travel, romance ans drama, with a huge dollop of adventure and mystery. Im hooked!!!! (Hook, line and sinkered.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL. 5*

Omg I am in love with the audiobook after the reading the first one and loving it I didn’t think I could love the second one more but with the audiobook it comes alive even more than I could imagine

Second in the series and enjoy the continuity of narrator, as she is very clear and does a fine job distinguishing voices. The story is a continuation of Outlander and despite its length, is well worth the time invested.

I love these books! I have read the series before and now love to listen to them as I drive, sew, or work. The narration is fabulous, and the books are fast paced, and interesting. I'm glad they are long, as I listen at night while going to sleep. There is considerable substance to the books; they seem to be well-researched. I love them.

I'm very lucky that I can listen to books on audio while I work. Diana Gabaldon Outlander series has been fantastic. I've just finished Dragonfly in Amber and have now started Voyager. This is one of the best character driven stories, I've ever read. I love the time period and Scottish history also. Davina Porters reading is excellent.

I'm enamored by this series and enthralled with the characters! I enjoy how the books have turned my daily rush hour commutes into enjoyment. When I reach my destination, I sit in my car just a bit longer, not wanting to pause the story.

Ms. Gabaldon has done it again! Besides the edge-of-your-seat action scenes, her portrayal of the loving relationship between Claire and Jamie is so tender and ideal it will reset the bar if you're not in a relationship, and inject an air of sweetness if you are in an intimate relationship. Bravo!

Narrator is the best! I though the book was narrator was the best she did we'll at portraying all the different accents and characters. You felt like you listening to a television show.

Starts off slowly, but once the book goes back to the past it's so engaging, fun, and surprising. A great read! The narration was lovely, too. Davina Porter's American accent was grating and awkward, but all the other accents were fabulous.
