Crying so hard rn after finishing this beautiful book for the third time. Maggie's running metaphor for the closet(s) we hide within and the intrinsic /need/ to grow beyond their crushing confines hits so hard for my gay little heart. Her words are a love poem to humanity ❤️

Book two of the Raven Cycle is fantastic, there are some bits where it drags but all in all it's a thoroughly engaging supernatural mystery. It's not schlocky like Twilight, it bears a small bit of resemblence to "The Magicians" trilogy which I adored and the characters (their pasts, their motivations and their growth) are well fleshed out. Will Patton is a wonderful narrator. I was also extremely impressed that the author also scored the soundtrack to her own novels, my hat's off to you Ms. Stiefvater!

I love the characters in this series and I am going straight to the 3rd!! I love how original the ideas are. I just wish there was a little more going on in the background, besides the main character.

Very good book and the narration isn't bad either. All in all I would recommend this book.

I bought the first book to share with my daughter on a long trip..... I finished it without her and just finished this one... it keeps you engaged, has lots of suspense and is entertaining. The narrator is one of my favorite!

Characters are well-drawn and believable, even the villains. Narrator perfectly captures the mood and pace of the scenes. The story is exciting and eerie. I highly recommend the Raven Cycle books by Maggie Stiefvater.
