Unabridged Audiobook
Wow! What a ride. Loved and writing and the narrator. MMC is phenomenal. But Freya was so incredibly irritating. She flailed mercilessly between mass murder and fiercely protecting others. It was difficult to integrate those into one character. Her repetitive guilt complex became unbearable in the second half of the book. Where in the first half of the book you could still sympathize with her, later on her making the same mistakes over and over again became extremely aggravating. She wasn’t showing any growth. Trying to protect her toxic family, and lash out onto those who truly care about her. It’s difficult to root for that. This is why really hoping that in the second book she shows Bjorn that she can be the woman he thinks her to be.
This was intense and I am so excited to jump into book 2. Poor Freya is just being used by EVERYBODY around her. Even the one person she thought wasn't using her. This is crazy. I loved every bit of this.
Enjoyable but super predictable.
