Unabridged Audiobook
This recording was ruined by the narrator, who spoke in a rhinelandish accent and emphasised all the wrong words. I thought first that I had to abandon it, but persevered and sort of got used to the cadence. I am a native German speaker and I don’t know why they couldn’t have found someone speaking high German for this most important work of German literature. Also, why not name the narrator? If he was named I could avoid anything he reads in future.
