Hades is the narrator and the way he constantly objectifies Persephone was so gross I stopped reading after about 75% of the way through. She’s not even really a full developed character because of how she’s described through his eyes. I was exactly looking for a feminist romance but I also wasn’t looking for this level of “alpha male with a podcast” bs. I read a lot of fantasy romance and I’ve never had to quit reading one like this.

I loved the book but it sounded like it was narrated by a robot.

I love this series. I can not wait til the next book comes out. Book 1 of this series is her story. This is book 2 but it’s his story. I have not seen this done and to be honest it’s a perfect idea.

I am glad I didn’t have to pay for it. I listen to books at work. This was very uncomfortable to listen too.

The narrator made this feel rather emotionless, which was unfortunate given the text is pretty one-dimensional in its characterization of Hades. I wish I'd used my credit on A Touch of Ruin instead.

I was intrigued by the title and the narrator was enjoyable to me. I am a huge fan of Lore Olympus (LO), so finding books about Hades and Persephone is great. After listening to the audiobook, I couldn’t help but feel this is just a retelling of LO with some character adjustments and slight altering of the plot and timelines. Even Persephone turning Minthe into a plant. I can’t say I absolutely hated it, because it did keep me entertained. However, I wasn’t fond of how quickly Persephone gave her self to Hades and how experienced she seemed to be for a virgin. I don’t have much interest in listening to or reading the other books. This is the first book of the series that I read, so I can’t say anything about the other five. And no, I don’t plan to read them after this.

Narrator did a great job but towards the end of the book all it talked about was sex, sex and more sex. It literally got so old I stopped listening to it. All story progress stopped. All character building stopped. Just talked about sex, sex and sex

this book was ok for a love story, could've been better, but it was alright.

Enjoyed the book. The narrator did a good job. Definitely nature reading but just enough to make it interesting.

this book was not as anticipated. I did not realize the amount of sex for the sake of just sex that would be in the book. Did not enjoy the book. the narrator was very monotone as well. Not good.
