The Girl in the Locked Room

I have never read this on audio books but on paper and I have read all of Mary downing Hahns books. As someone with a very high degree of knowledge in literature I can firmly say that these books are great for bright learning minds. When I was young and in middle school I started taking a liking to Mary and they I fell into a rabbit hole of all her fascinating books. The first book of Mary’s that I read just so happens to be the girl in the locked room. I started this book in about the 6th grade I read through the part of construction and hated it. Then in 8th grade I picked it up again and read all of it. I too this day still think of that book as the one that got me so into reading. I am now a college professor in literature and my students are reading this book( don’t worry not just this one also Shakespeare) we are comparing the two authors. I will never forget about this book.
