Unabridged Audiobook
I'm not sure why this is rated as a kids book. There a lot of mature themes in here that will go right over a kid's head. Some aspects of this book are also not appropriate for children. It would be more fitting to label this as young adult fiction. That said, this is a fantastic story. Shannon Hale paints a lively, vivid world with her frequent use of similes and metaphors. Her characters are also written so compellingly that some parts of this book make me cry. The greatest strength of this book is the author's masterful development of the main character. I have long treasured this story and hope to share it with my family some day. Additionally, Full Cast Audio does a fantastic job bringing this story to life!!
