Summary
The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

In The Great Hunt, the second novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor and his companions set out to retrieve a powerful magical artifact from The Dark One’s Shadowspawn.

For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of...

Now the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.

And it is stolen.

In pursuit of the thieves, Rand al’Thor is determined to keep the Horn out of the grasp of The Dark One. But he has also learned that he is The Dragon Reborn—the Champion of Light destined to stand against the Shadow time and again. It is a duty and a destiny that requires Rand to uncover and master magical capabilities he never imagined he possessed.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

WoT > GoT

Love the book. It's awesome to have an audio of it so that I can listen while I work and travel. The audio is can be a little skippy and if it isn't 100% downloaded I found that it stops often but overall I'm happy with it.

I like the variation of narrators as they emphasized the emotions of the men and women. The Great Hunt was an amazing read.

The second book in a great series. Just amazingly entertaining. The only issue I had is that I thought the narrators were poorly chosen. It’s not that they did anything blatantly wrong per se; it’s that they sounded like they were reading the news in 1958. The male narrator sounded like an old timey newscaster commenting on what happened in a Leave it to Beaver episode. I kept expecting the male narrator to say, “Golly Morraine, I don’t want to be the dragon reborn.” And the male narrator was the better of the two.

I read this series a long time ago but am surprised how much I'm enjoying it on Audio. Narrators do a nice job. I'm always skeptical of Fantasy narrators, but these are great

This is the Greatest Series Ever written, I've read hundreds and hundreds of Sci-fi books from dozens and dozens of different Authors. I like Robert Jordan the best, I wish the series could go on and on.. 12 books isn't enough. I'm so sorry to hear that Mr. Jordan has died, He's been the best!!! Long Live The Lord Dragon..

The male narrator doesn't fit the feeling or spirit of the book at all. If it were a story in the 1950s in America, maybe, but his cadence and speak patterns are a terrible fit here.

The series doesn’t get better in the second book. The characters are one dimensional, the character interactions ludicrous.

It is very captivating and everything is so beautifully written.

A great book to listen to. The story just flows from book one. Starting book three now.

just an absolute epic book series! a wonderful story, told perfectly, and the narration in the series is also great. while listening to the storytellers it's so easy to visualize the story unfolding almost as well as watching in a movie, I'm currently on my second listen of the whole series, I am hopeful for the tv series to come, and I really hope the can do the books justice, I really think that if done the right way this series on screen could do as well as game of thrones, and getting Brandon Sanderson to finish the series was just a genius decision. this epic series is easily on my top 10 if not top 5 best series of all time. everyone should give it a try, you'll be happy you did!

thank goodness the audiobook lacks for the diversity mythology of the contemptable casting directors. Jordans's story is one of myth and legend. not one of antiwhite garbage. Rand's portrayal is especially solid in book 2, and the reasonable expressions of ethnic dismay surrounding the invaders is a sane one. i can only imagine what a hollywood tribesperson will do with invaders...

Bit skippy at times both forwards and backswards. But over all a great book.

I am re-reading this book. It is nice to have the audio version to go along with the actual book. It helps with the story telling and name pronunciations. I very much enjoy this fantasy world!

After a friend recommended this series, it took me a while to get into the first one. But the more I listen , the more I like it. The Buddhist and Taoist undertones make it especially enjoyable. What a nice escape for a car ride

Much more action oriented than book 1. Introduction of many new characters and new magic. Long and involving. Sucked me right back into the world!

The readers are just a good as they were in the first book. The story seems to be taking a long time to get moving in this series, however it has been good enough to keep at it.

I thought the book was just as good as all the other Robert Jordan novels out there. Definatly just as gripping

I did not finish the book since I had listened to all the others previous in the series and they started to sound much the same. I kind of had an idea of what was going to happen and I became bored. I loved the others in the series but it became too much of the same stuff.

This book picks up right where Eye of the World leaves off. In fact this series (in on book five now) seems to have very small breaks (if any) between the books. If you liked the first book, you will enjoy the second. If you just thought it was OK...try this one as the story gets better.

The Wheel of Time series is a great series, so far :-) The imagery and depth of characters is worth the read alone, never mind the great story that unfolds. nuf said. As for the dual narrators, the two are used depending on the POV used, female or male. Some have mentioned the tone or pronunciations used by the narrators. While the differences are noticeable, they are not great. And besides, who says something exactly the same way in life. It does add a sence of realism, and I do think I like the change from other books. I think it also helps, since as the series develops, the POV changes frequently. In the book there are separations within the chapters, when listening with the two narrators one hears the changes in most cases.
