Unabridged Audiobook
A riveting existentialist journal/journey with the author. Anne Lamott is so creative in describing the conflict of emotion that comes with day to day living. She has a contagious self-awareness that moves one to be honest about the application of mercy to self and others. The narration was an initial challenge. I keep seeing the blue sadness character from "Inside Out." Just as I squirmed at the outset of being confronted by that character in the animation movie - and growing to love her as needed authenticity, so I did with Anne as she took me beyond my own isolated bubble. You will not finish this book without being transformed a bit more - for the better.
