The story line and language were good and I kept wanting to get back to listening. The only problem was the narration was poor and though I know it is a voluntary read by the narrator I do not expect to hear background noises. Traffic outside every now and then. Notwithstanding, I did enjoy it somewhat.

I mean no offence, but I couldn’t get past chapter 3 due to the narrators voice.

I dont have any complaints with the book,in fact it was pretty good, but the narrator seemed as if she in a race, and the words seemed to blend so much,i coudnt keep up with her.

The story is great, however emphasis in the readings often Rise at odd point, longer words mispronounced and background noise can disrupt and distract from the experience.

Difficult to listen to. Voice was breathy and unsupported. Background noises were distracting... 3 hours and 45 minutes into the book, dogs were even barking in the background.

Couldn't get past the first chapter. The narration was TERRIBLE.

Enjoyed the story surprised at the end which all great mysteries do…. The narrator was ok and did a good job didn’t bother me in the least about back ground noise. In my neighborhood gunshots sirens and worse are a regular thing so other reviewers need to quit being punk a** b******.

Well written. Fun mystery. Good narration considering it's volunteer.

I enjoyed the story line with it’s touch of the ghostly. I had no problem with the narrator. She enunciated perfectly and was pleasant to listen to.

I couldn't get through the first chapter, so cannot provide a title rating. My mind kept picking up on the many mispronounced words, the pauses in the wrong places, the repeating of lines already read. Her voice is pleasant enough, but probably better suited to narrating another genre.

Great story, ok narration - though a little anemic and with a bit too much background noise.

The story was great, I’ve listened to it twice now. I love Kehinde. She’s one of my three favorite readers, and they’re more important to me than the book. I don’t know why people care about traffic or dogs barking— I just picture them there fighting to keep this dream thing going. It really beats shrill voices, mean cold voices, slurping and singsong voices.

narrator spoke too softly and I could hear dogs barking, chairs scraping and cars honking in back ground

oh my goodness, you don't expect some of the twists and turns! it's a great story, but you need to concentrate at times to work out the changes in perspective. Excellent

Narrator was delibrately breathy at random times, especially reading chapter titles. Thiss was distractingly annoying. Story itself was great for the time period.
