Summary
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children was the surprise bestseller of 2011—an unprecedented mix of YA fantasy and vintage photography that enthralled readers and critics alike. Publishers Weekly called it “an enjoyable, eccentric read, distinguished by well-developed characters, a believable Welsh setting, and some very creepy monsters.”

This second novel begins in 1940, immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine's island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and his new friends must journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies, a menagerie of peculiar animals, and other surprises.

Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly creepy) vintage photographs, this new adventure will delight fantasy listeners of all ages.

This book is amazing, even better than its predecessor, which was already a book I could not put down until the end. This second book was the same. It kept me glued to the story with such intensity I would forget the world around me, so plunged i was in the narrative. Now if the book is amazing, the reader is extraordinary. How can one person incarnates so many different characters and accents is beyond me, nevertheless he does, to the point it almost seems there is an entire cast reading, instead of just one person. Five stars fr the book and five stars for the reader!!!

Amazing sequel to the first Miss Peregrine novel. Action-packed, and a smooth read--never a slow moment. You find yourself rooting for the peculiar heroes! The entire series is a must-read. I can't wait for the Tim Burton directed movie to come out next year!

I absolutely loved this book. I finished the whole thing in two days. All of their adventures keep you at the edge of your seat to the very end! I did enjoy the first person narrative. The change of voice for the variety of accents was at times comical, but very fitting. I have no complaints. 100% worth a credit. Can't wait to spend another credit on the third book coming out!
