I love the detail of the world design in this book! Going to give it a second listen through since it’s been at least a year. I know others prefer character voices but to me the monotony makes it easier to relax as I listen instead of getting emotionally responsive and intense. Mark Nelson is one of my favorite narrators on this whole site/app!

I like the story it self but its broken up with history lesson to explain life i that time period like a story teller that goes of topic and gets lost for a bit and then suddenly jumping back into the story leaving me at least bit confused. It was interesting but kinda damaged the flow of the book. I did like the reader but he does read the book but does not play it out with diffrent voices...wish in fine with.

Excellent book not a fan of the narrator. He has excellent pronunciation but his voice is rather drole and unchanging making some of the more boring parts almost unbearable. Since he didn't do varying voices for characters I couldn't tell who was who at times.
