Unabridged Audiobook
This book fell short for me. It had potential but it just didn't hit the mark. First the title and book cover (I know, I know, don't judge a book by it's cover) did not live up to what I thought this book might even remotely be about. I think I spent way too much time trying to figure out why. Sure, there were 3 stories (4?) about relationships and I suppose a couple of them included husbands and lovers but not in a way I'd name a book for the subject. Second, POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT - the story of Monk and Mallory was so contrived. I'm sorry but he was just too much of a "nice guy". His reaction to the news was so off base and then everything was just so wrapped up in a bow - oh, you had my child that you didn't tell me about for 13 years? No biggie, let me give you back pay for all of the child support I would have paid you and also I'm not mad or anything. Also, as a mother, you can't tell me that you wouldn't have called the kids bio dad IMMEDIATELY if you were looking for a possible kidney donor to save your kids life. Pride is not an issue when it comes to your children so that seemed so weird too. I won't even go into the Grandmother's Egypt story and the Mother being put up for adoption in Ireland. Anyway, it was fine, entertaining I guess but definitely not a favorite.
Great!
