Unabridged Audiobook
Great story telling and great narration!
Very unnatural style. Odd inflections and sometimes sounds like a robot.
Well, I confess I only listened to the first 3 hours. It was tedious. I guess to make it novel length, there has to be some filler. I grew bored. I will say the author was very detail oriented. She included a lot of background story. She is intimately tied to one of the characters and it shows in the writing.
The story is very interesting and well written. The style of the narrator made me wish I had bought it hard copy. She has a staccato style, hesitating after multiple words in a sentence. Also uses vocal Inflections to raise her voice with prepositions and in the middle of sentences making it sound like they are questions rather than statements. I found this so distracting it greatly took away from the story snd I couldn't wait to be done. The interest of the story kept me from giving up and painfully making my way through it. Will be sure not to purchase any other audiobooks that she has narrated.
can't get into the book the narrator is just to choppy
