The problems with the Bible that New Testament scholar Bart Ehrman discussed in his bestseller Misquoting Jesus—and on The Daily Show with John Stewart, NPR, and Dateline NBC, among others—are expanded upon exponentially in his latest book: Jesus, Interrupted. This New York Times bestseller reveals how books in the Bible were actually forged by later authors, and that the New Testament itself is riddled with contradictory claims about Jesus—information that scholars know… but the general public does not. If you enjoy the work of Elaine Pagels, Marcus Borg, John Dominic Crossan, and John Shelby Spong, you’ll find much to ponder in Jesus, Interrupted.

The book stretches in some areas but point out a lot of inconsistencies in the Bible! I am a believer and am spiritual, parts of the Bible are great a lot not so much! Not a proponent of animal sacrifices, and the killing of men, woman and children just because you don’t get your way, not the best example from a God that says Love is the first commandment! Man has his hands all over what was said and put in the final “draft” I enjoyed it played back a lot of parts over and over!

I suggest to read the Bible thoroughly, clearly the guy hasn't! bible events are well backed up with scientific evidence. Arc is found btw...or Sodom and Gomorrah also had been located. Poorly written , no facts just opinions! Good luck convincing the awake mind

Rare balance between erudition (based on established facts and a wealth of references) and divulgation (through groundedness on everyday life themes), this work is never dry nor dull nor pretentious: very likely suited for scholars (among whom unfortunately I'm not) and laymen (my category) alike, should be so for believers and agnostics also. Definitely worth reading/listening to.
