very poorly written. very very very long-winded way to tell you that everything that's good for you generally is pretty effective at reducing your chances of mental decline as your age. and starting young helps more. not exactly earth-shaking news. spends a tremendous amount of time telling you that he's going to tell you stuff.

Lot's of great information and well researched, however, he fails to mention the power of Biblical principles including prayer and meditation. His bias seems to be towards Eastern religions and this is his personal choice but there are millions and millions of Christians who would state emphatically the power of a personal relationship to Jesus Christ as the basis for changing their lives. He'd be wise to add this option if there's a revised edition in the future.
