The story in itself is very interesting and holds your attention pretty well. Though it's difficult to be engaged with the halting manner of how the narrator reads. Other than that, was a good listen.

Ok overall, but the recording quality wasn't great.

A great story and you can almost taste the salt in the air. What I love most about this story is it is written in the past tense but you are caught up in the story you forget that. The narration was good for the story. I am on a mission to listen / read all the old classics and this is my 10th book and I have enjoyed everyone. This story makes you feel like the sailor, you can taste the salt in the air, the wind in your face and also the fears on the unknown.
