Summary
All good things—even laughter and orange marmalade cake—must come to an end

And in Light from Heaven, the long-anticipated final volume in the phenomenally successful Mitford Years series, Karon deftly ties up all the loose ends of Father Timothy Kavanagh’s deeply affecting life.

On a century-old valley farm where Father Tim and Cynthia are housesitting, there’s plenty to say grace over, from the havoc of a windstorm to a surprising new addition to the household and a mystery in the chicken house.

It’s life on the mountaintop, however, that promises to give Father Tim the definitive challenge of his long priesthood. Can he step up to the plate and revive a remote, long-empty mountain church, asap? Or has he been called to accomplish the impossible? Fortunately, he’s been given an angel—in the flesh, of course.

Light from Heaven is filled with characters old and new and with answers to all the questions that Karon fans have asked since the series began nearly a decade ago. To put it simply—it’s her best. And we believe millions will agree.

Another excellent piece on Father Tim. This book seemed to jump around some though and skip from one line to another abruptly. I wasn’t sure if it was the writing or the app?

It was slow in the beginning. It got better later on. I enjoy the early ones better. That's just me. I like Women's voices more. She can not do them all. This one would not work for her to narrate it. Looking forward to the ones listed above. Ione

I had to send this back unread. I have not read the previous ones yet.

I have read the entire Jan Karon Mitford series, and this one did not disappoint. The narrator always does a phenomenal job. As with every book in this series, I did not want it to come to an end. I can't understand why this should have to be the final book in the series. Timothy & Cynthia are still alive and well... and we must find out how Dooley's life turns out, so I see keep on writing!

This final book is as good as was the first in the series! (and much better than a few of those in the middle). The characters, storyline, and the actor reading the text are all superb. My only complaint is that this is a three part rental, and waiting for the next CD is tough.

Excellent from beginning to end. The narrator is fabulous. The ending did leave me wanting more, so I hope she will considered another book. I hated to put in the last disc because I knew the end was near. It's always so sad to end a really wonderful book!

Hopefully, this will not be her last book--it was good and nice to hear how it came to an end----I would like to see more out of this series.
