Never trust a man who gets paid to take off his clothes for a living and then uses it as a pick-up line to get girls in bed with him.

Being an author’s assistant comes with its perks but when Maverick Kingston barges into my life and becomes my responsibility, he’s more than I can handle.

I’ve worked with male cover models like him before and they’re all the same—egotistical know-it-alls who think they’re God’s gift to women.

When we’re forced to take a two-week road trip together, he makes me crazy in more ways than one and rearranges my thoughts on playing it safe.

*Can be read as a complete stand-alone! Formally titled Falling for the Playboy. Content has not changed.*

I originally read Falling for the Playboy when it first came out. It was great to revisit Olivia and Maverick through the audio book. The narrating was perfect! It really brought Maverick and Olivia to life.

Though I originally read Falling for the Playboy by Kennedy Fox when it first came out, I could not wait to listen to the audio book as well. Audios provide an entirely different experience and I just love them. Narrated by Aiden Snow and Vanessa Edwin, they did an amazing job bringing Maverick and Olivia to life for me. I was drawn in again right from the start and could not stop listening. Such great characters and story! Olivia is driven and tied to her work. The way she grew up made her weary of having any lasting connections and keeps most people at arm’s length. When the author she works for demands she road trip with the cover model, she is not happy, but she is ready to do her job. Maverick is a carefree guy. Gorgeous and charming, Oliva knows she needs to stay far away from him. I loved how Maverick slowly broke down the walls she build around herself and began to let loose. I loved both the eBook and audiobook of Falling for the Playboy by Kennedy Fox. Either way, this is a must-read and I cannot recommend it enough. A slow burn romance with enemies (of sorts) to lovers. I loved their journey and watching them fall. Happy listening!

I loved this book the first time I read it and the audio was a perfect way for me to fall back in love with these characters. The male narrator was everything!!! I did have a bit of a problem with the audio of the female narrator. I don’t know what it was but it felt a bit staticky. I’m not sure if it was just my phone but it seemed to only be a problem during the female narrations But, back to the content of the book. I love road trip stories and I love Maverick and Olivia so I was very excited to listen to this book and get a chance to fall in love with their love all over again. Maverick and Olivia have cute banter and seriously sexy moments and this was a perfect quick read!!!

I love listening to some of my favorite books on audio and this one was no different! Just like the physical book, the audio grabbed me from the very first word and I’m couldn’t stop listening until it was over! The narrators did a brilliant job at bringing these two characters to life! They sounded exactly how I imagined Maverick and Olivia to sound. I know I will be re-listening to this audio in the future. Maverick and Olivia are completely different people and they don’t mesh well at first. They are forced to learn about each other quickly though and that makes their banter that much better! They know exactly what buttons to push and how to get a rise out of each other. In classic, Kennedy Fox style, both of these characters have had a difficult past and my heart broke for both of them. Watching them find each other, fall for each other, and learn to live and love again was absolutely brilliant. The books in the Bedtime Reads series do not need to be read in order as they are standalones. However, I will say you meet Olivia briefly in the first book, Falling for the Bad Boy. She intrigued me right away and I’m so glad we got a full happily ever after for her. I can’t wait to finish listening to this series in audio. They are so good and perfect to devour in one session! Grateful to have received a complementary copy to review honestly.

Thank you so much Kennedy Fox for sending me this audiobook. I absolutely love the narrators in this audiobook. They made this story steamier and made me fall in love with the story in more than I already was! I absolutely love Kennedy Fox books and this was just another great read from them. This book was beyond cute. Maverick was everything I love in the "playboy" romance novels. He was charming and all things hot. Olivia was the sarcastic, wants nothing to do with the said playboy women, that needs to be in every playboy romance. I love their road trips and the time they spent together. When they weren't together for the shorts amount of time, I needed them back together so I can read more of their cute little bickers and feel their intense chemistry. I love the fact that this was a slow burn novel, it made all the anticipation even better. I can honestly say and I think a lot of other people will agree with me that, RACHEL WAS SO ANNOYING!! lol, she was a huge part of the book though, so I am kind of happy for her annoyingness.

Falling for the Playboy, book two in Kennedy Fox’s Bedtime Stories series was exactly what I needed. I found myself smiling a lot throughout and I couldn’t wait to see how long it took for Maverick and Olivia to break the rules and explore each other in the carnal sense! Olivia, or Miss Priss as Maverick loves to call her, is a great female lead, and I love how the authors allowed an insider’s look from someone who works her butt off for an author in the publishing world. From Olivia’s perspective, readers see just how much time and effort go into promoting books and how much pressure it can be for an author to keep perfecting the craft, attracting new readers, which, in turn, makes an author’s assistant’s life hectic and more than a little time consuming. Olivia’s focus, for much of the story, is solely on her job, on her schedules, on her daily planners, on the gratuitous number of ‘jobs’ Rachel gives her, but when Maverick is forced into Olivia’s life, basically turning it upside down but also making her life and experience life outside of her job, Olivia starts to see what her life could be like if only she had the courage to be illogical and base decisions on her heart/emotions instead of her head/facts. Maverick is all kind of hunky goodness, but what I love most about him is that he’s also a stand-up guy. He may flirt a little too much and enjoy female attention more so than other men, but it’s his charismatic demeanor that makes women flock to him and that’s something that just comes naturally to him. I loved getting inside his head and seeing exactly what he thought about Olivia, especially the moments when he started to realize that there is a lot more to the prissy author assistant than he originally thought. The way Maverick shows Olivia with texts/face time that they can make things work regardless of the long distance - that he has fallen for her and wants her in his life was so endearing and it truly showed readers who Maverick is beneath the six-pack abs and wicked smirk. I love how Olivia and Maverick let down their grounds with each other and learned things about one another that most do not know about them. I could tell even at the onset of their cross country road trip that as much as they got on each other’s nerves and under one another’s skin, there was also a simmering attraction…a connection that allowed them to be who they are behind the personas they seem to always wear. The narrators who voiced Olivia and Maverick, Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow, did a fantastic job in bringing these two characters to life. It was easy to sense the hero and heroine’s fluctuating emotions as the story progressed and the scenes with banter and steam allowed listeners to envision exactly what was occurring in these comical and sexy moments. Falling for the Playboy by Kennedy Fox is an entertaining, endearing, and smexy read and listening to the audio version of it made a great story even better! 4.5 Poison Apples
