Maldives - History

A dream is about to come true! Captured in photos, the beautiful landscapes of the Maldives are so stunning that even a short glimpse of them just for once, and you can no longer forget about the small pieces of Paradise scattered like beads in the vast Indian Ocean...
Traveling to the Maldives, we have only one tiny concern... what if on the second day we felt like hopping out of boredom... the skill of staying on the beach is not our characteristic feature. And here we are in the realm of the Indian Ocean - they say that it is the third largest ocean after the Pacific and Atlantic, although it is not yet clear how we set boundaries in this vast expanse of water that covers the Earth.
On the map Maldives can be seen southwest of India and Sri Lanka. The chain of twenty-six atolls stretches from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the north to Adu Atoll in the south, located on top of a huge underwater mountain range in the Indian Ocean. In the coming days we will visit several of these faerie islands...
