Unabridged Audiobook
found /read this in my early teens so have an affinity ....liked the female narrators voice and would not have purchased if a man ,, maybe slightly rushed, no time to savor imagery ,but I just like the directness of story , no messing about
Couple of things to note: This audiobook only includes part one of the original book and is thus only half of the written version. The book is written in the first person (by Jack himself) and I don’t think that having a female narrator reading it in the third person really works. Finally, I found the narrator’s style to be rushed which goes against the grain of the book’s very deliberate style of a slow and gradual increase in pace reflective of the building sexual tension between the characters.
