Abridged Audiobook
I have read numerous books on the same subject this is my first from these authors but they provide you with the information in an easy to understand way. And they throw jokes in there from time to time also. I can’t wait to finish it and read another book by the same authors.
I really wanted to learn how to read body language and this book has helped me come a long way. It's crazy how much of our body language is rooted in evolutionary aspects. I'm reading people all the time now and finding out how they're feeling. It's done wonders for my personal and professional relationships
I love this book as there is more information page per page then you can get in most books. You learn about how to properly shake hands, how to tell is someone is lieing and where to sit to present your topic most effectively. This would be especially useful for those who are in leadership or sales positions where you need to sell a product or idea. I would highly say this is critical for those who are serious about success in business.
This was a recommended book, and it's fantastic. The humor makes the tips memorable, too. As someone who does public speaking on occasion, I found the suggestions for responses to audience members very helpful. And if you're in sales, this would be such a helpful tool on how to read customers and work toward closing a deal.
I do recommend this book as it will provide the reader with something that can be used after reading the information. It is also written at a level that most anyone can understand. Don't let it's simplicity lead you to believe the information is not true - I use the information from this book to help evaluate possible security threats and in interviewing suspects.
I was very impressed with both the ease of the read and the way information was presented in this book. You will learn, just by reading, how to decode and apply what you learn about body language.
This is a good read for how to influence others to both see things your way and to see you the way you want to be seen. The book also includes helpful illustrations along with the authors' discussions.
Body Language is one of the most comprehensive books I have read on Body Language and an excellent introductory book on the subject. Allan & Barbara Pease’s writing is fun to read and packed with practical applications of the science. If you’re starting to learn about body language and want to know a little about almost everything on the subject, or want a book that groups a lot of knowledge together this a very good book to buy!
There were many little things I never noticed that I do that the book mentions and I have stopped some of the negative body language gestures. On the otherhand, I have started noticing other people's body language and feel I am better at reading people now. Great book!
