Summary
#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts surpasses herself once again, with a novel as sweeping and extraordinary as the Montana sky itself…

When Jack Mercy died, he left behind a ranch worth nearly twenty million dollars. Now his three daughters—each born of a different mother, and each unknown by the others—are gathered to hear the reading of the will. But the women are shocked to learn that before any of them can inherit, they must live together on the ranch for one year.

For Tess, a screenwriter who just wants to collect her cash and get back to Hollywood, it’s a nightmare. For Lily, on the run from her abusive ex-husband, it’s a refuge. And for Willa—who grew up on the ranch—it’s an intrusion into her rightful home.

They are sisters...and strangers. Now they face a challenge: to put their bitterness aside and live like a family. To protect each other from danger—and unite against an enemy who threatens to destroy them all...

I watched the movie first than I rented the book on CD. The movie was good but the CD was much better. The movie didn't get into detail were as the book brought out the Character and you understood more of what this family was going thru.

The story line, the characters, and reader.....I loved it all. I couldn't stop listening to it, and I didn't want the book to end. It was romantic yet suspenseful, and the ending was unpredictable. I would highly recommend this audio book to everyone especially Nora Robert fans.

This is a classic Nora Roberts book in a single novel instead of her usual trilogy. Good story even the Lifetime movie is a good rendition of the novel.

WOW! I usually don't take the time to review a book but this book is worth reviewing. This book was FANTASTIC! I would sit in the driveway to listen to it as it's like a book you can't put down. I loved the characters and I have to say I did guess the guilty one but that didn't take away from the terrific book. The only thing I would change is when there are numerous characters especially men and women, I think two people should narrate the book. Fortunately, the names of the people were used frequently but some of the voices were very similar - other than that - GREAT BOOK!

This was a fairly enjoyable listen with a good story and good narration. The "man vs. woman" struggle and the sterotypes of understood gender roles was spread a little thick, as was the staunch black or white characterization of the sisters. But, there were some redeeming qualities that endeared you to the story along with some surprises that made it interesting.

The novel is, like most Nora Roberts books, intertaining and exciting. The problem with this is the reader has obnoxious voices for some of the characters! Also, her accent comes and goes. It really took away from the story.

I love books with more than one story and another plot in the background, but way too much profanity.

Too long. You could watch grass grow listening to this book. A good story line, but near the end, you just want it to be OVER!!

When I first inserted these discs into my CD player I was extremeley disappointed in the sound quality. It was crackly and muffled. It took a couple of CD's to get over that annoyance but after I did I became engulfed in the story. The storyline was interesting and kept you guessing to the very end. The narrator was good for the most part. The screechy voice she used for Bess and Pickles was quite annoying but luckily they don't have a large part of the dialogue. Overall, I recommend it for a good listen.

Definitely enjoyed the story. I had watched the Montana Sky Lifetime TV Movie and was worried that I would be disappointed in one or the other. Although the book ending was slightly different from the movie, I can honestly say I was disappointed in neither. The movie kept very close to the book and the book was so discriptive, I could picture in my mind the scenery spread out around me. The characters were realistic and likable. Again, a thoroughly enjoyable novel.
