Unabridged Audiobook
This book had so much potential! What a great story -- but told in such an awkward fashion.... Lots of interesting little vignettes that were never really tied together in a coherent fashion. Best attempt at that came at the very end of the epilogue after wading through pages of mundane details about dates and causes of death of multiple secondary characters then finally a piece about Grace herself and what her work meant to girls and women everywhere. I so wanted to love this book but found myself largely frustrated by it...
Solid story, although the jumping around of broader cases to describe Grace is a bit convoluted and confusing. Great research, interesting story, and sadly still relevant. Was not a fan of the narrator, very monotone and a lot of reading short sentences that made the listening choppy
