Unabridged Audiobook
This is an entertaining read. I didn't really like the high school type cattiness in the book, but other than that, it was enjoyable. I do really like the FMC, her love interest, and her close friends. I think it's cool to have a curvy main character that has depression. It makes it that much more satisfying to watch her grow and change and accept herself as the book progresses! I also like the spin that's put on the gods and goddess in the book. It's interesting to see the "behind the scenes" or "real story" behind the myths we all know so well. I did listen to the audiobook version and the narrator also does a good job. She is easy to understand makes for a pleasant listen!
This was a fun book. I very much enjoyed the whole spin of gods and goddesses. Penelope is just learning who she really is and is slowly accepting herself in this new world of hers. I enjoyed the world building and how Penelope was able to make new friends and for them to create a bond together by going through things as a unit was fantastic. I honestly can’t wait to see if the group comes together and helps Penelope in the next book. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the narrator. She truly brought the book alive for me. The narrator was great at portraying all the characters.
