Unabridged Audiobook
As some who was largely philosophically juxtaposed to Trump in 2015 I gradually began to appreciate his views on geopolitical issues, especially trade and nation building that resulted in endless wars. This book puts a lot of meat on the bone as to how Trump reached his policy positions. It is too bad that so many Americans really don't know what his policy positions were but instead reflectively responded to the MSM's caricatures of him as "orange man bad". Also, a lot of recent revelations about the politicalization of so much of the DC bureaucracy certainly ties to get very well Mr. Pompeo's reflections of the early years of the administration.
It is a well written book with many good insights into decision making. Whether one agrees or not with the politics of Pompeo, he was an excellent implementar of policies.
I always found Pompeo an amazing Secretary of State despite his boss. This is a great book that covers some extremely important events from the perspective of one of the big decision makers. You can disagree with those decisions or dislike the decision makers, but this is still a book worth reading.
