First Earth
Fourteen-year-old Bobby Pendragon is a loyal friend, sports star, devoted pet owner—and Traveler. Along with his uncle Press, Bobby has visited the alternate dimension of Denduron and participated in a civil war. He's also waded through the endangered underwater territory of Cloral. Now Bobby once again finds himself thrust beyond the boundaries of time and space into a place that seems somewhat familiar: First Earth.
Bobby and the Traveler from Cloral—Spader—have flumed to New York City, 1937. Against a backdrop of gangsters, swing music, and the distant sound of a brewing war, the two must uncover the evil Saint Dane's newest plot. But is Bobby ready for the difficult choices ahead?

I have listened to the whole series by the time I write this review. Loved the series, Gunny is a wonderful character. One of my favorites.

We listened to this book in its entirety in one long sitting. The kids couldn't stop we even listened through dinner and instead of reading a book that night they listened until well after bedtime. They liked the idea of so many different earths and time travelers and were able to also make parallels in their own lives that were relevant to them. We can hardly wait for Book 4 Bobby Pendragon is a real character and the other crew of time travelers make the book exciting. Of course we couldn"t do without St Dane!

The Never War is an awsome book. It mixes history with adventure and fiction. You learn a bit about the Hindenberg (may be spelled wrong) and they even have some cool technology. This is so far my favorite book in the series followed by The lost city of faar.
