The book was very well written. The author kept you on your toes and the details were very vivid. The narration was good. I enjoyed it all together.
I have so many mixed emotions about this book. Nineteen minutes is a Sociologists dream study. The insightfulness is amazing. The Bully Syndrome is a fantastic theory. Twists and turns inside the mind of a boy in a society based on athletics, intelligence and popularity. When you are “different” it is a hard world. Kids are mean, cruel. If you don’t fit inside the box you are not accepted anywhere from school to home. No support. Kids mental states are fragile. How 1 or 10 kids react to something doesn’t mean child 11 will react the same. Then the twist...continued abuse ends in death Is it a psychopath or the result of being bullied, pressure to be popular?
Definitely one of my favourite books. Very captivating.
Truly riveting. Having lived in Colorado at the time, I know the stresses the parents and the students went through. Tough read, just remembering.
Love the book. This author never fails to impress me. Some parts are hard to hear but needed to be included. High school students should be required to read this book.
Jodi Picoult is AMAZING…!!!! This is definitely a must read❤️
very well researched and written. Picoult has a grip on your emotions, twists and turns them inside out and by the time you finish reading you are out of breath and completely empty. this book forces you to question social structure, politics, educational and judicial systems in the US and makes you realize how powerless her citizens are....
Very heavy book. I teach elementary school; all of the students were so relatable. GREAT READ, highly recommended!!!
You never go wrong with a Picoult book.
This book really made me look at this subject from the other side. Good story and well read.
This was a good novel, albeit an overly long one that seemed to go on forever. I found myself enjoying the book, but cringing during much of the narration. All of the male characters sounded like old smokers.
Very long start. Then the story got really good. Classic Picoult. Worth every minute.
I liked the book but hated the narration.
This book was so good. I would recommend this to anyone
I found it quite boring at the half way mark so couldn't finish...I may need to try again one day!
Very interesting , ending surprised me
Not a bad read. Good storyline but not as intriguing as jodi's other books.
Great book, but not my favorite Jodi Picoult novel...
I loved this book. I really felt for the characters.
I love this book!! Jodi Picoult never disappoints me, and I can't wait to get started on the next book...
