Unabridged Audiobook
Hands down the best purchase ever! Provides the essentials of all self-help book packed into one amazing book. I recommend this book to any and everyone!!
I think this would be a good book for writers who want to write realistic body language - there's a difference between being able to read body language instinctively, and having it laid out exactly what you're looking at, and the types of things people do when they're comfortable/not comfortable, so that you can then reproduce it.
I first learned of NLP over a year ago and the ideas truly fascinated me then earlier this year I started attending courses on NLP and my fascination and love for NLP has just grown. This book is so well written. The format makes it easy reading and easy to adjust.
This is a beginners' book. So if you are already a whiz at reading body language, or you are a psychology graduate, this is not the book for you. It's the pop-science/pop-psychology version, aimed at the ordinary man-in-the-street who wants to know about more about the subject, to be better able to read friends, family, colleagues, and so on. If you want something more complex than that - if you want a high-level textbook or an academic thesis - this is not the book for you.
This book is readable in that it is set up as a story involving several people going to one of the author's seminars and shows them practicing the techniques, having questions, and applying the techniques to their lives. This makes the concepts more comprehensible than in a straight-up explanatory book.
While an introduction, it may well clarify some areas for people already familiar with NLP. I have read a number of NLP books and found this one unique and unusually readable.
I am one of those people who has to read something several times for it to really sink in. With this story approach to NLP it gave me another perspective from which to consider how to utilize different aspects of NLP. I'm still working on trying to tie all of these things together
Great book, can be repetitive as similar principles repeat throughout the series. The repetition is good for re-enforcement.
It feels like the author wrote a bunch of blog posts and then put them together in a book. Information is good, however the examples of how to use the information..
This book has some good insights into NLP. It is not a complete guide, but serves to get you going and interested
