This is one of the best books I have read in the recent past. The prose is almost poetic, and the narration exceptional.
The authors paint a vivid picture of the solar system and its history. They bring to life the inferno-like Venus, the geysers of Enceladus, and the ice volcanoes of Charon. One rejoices at the enormous progress we have made and our breathtaking accomplishments. You will shed a grateful tear of joy for the wonderful Casseini, and send best wishes to the the lonely Voyager1 far out there in the interstellar space.
As I was listening to the last chapters of the book, I wished the book wouldn't end. There is so much we don't yet know, and so much we may never know. What is lurking in the oceans of Ganymede? What would it be like on the outer planets and their moons when the Sun enters the red giant stage? So many questions, so many unknowns!
If you have even a passing interest in space exploration, you will get tremendous pleasure reading this book.
Fascinating, informative and entertaining account of the planets in our Solar System. Godspeed to Mars and beyond, Elon Musk!!
Informative and interesting book.
