Unabridged Audiobook
Michener shares the history of Poland in an interesting way but as a work of fiction it lacks a connection to the characters with the occasional exception of a scene or two. Adding to the sense that this is more of a non-fictional history of Poland is the non personal narration that reminds one of a school lecture. At times, the novel even feels like a collection of essays.
this is a great classic Michener book very long and in a way a little slow. well worth the read though for historical narrative.
Historical novel covering centuries of Polish history.
