Unabridged Audiobook
I'm not sure about how it ended - right as I got into it... it ended... is this the WHOLE book or just a piece? It was OK.
It’s my fault for reading this first when it’s a prequel, and probably meant to serve as a bonus and a little extra for the fans. Not much happens, but there are probably easter eggs here for those that already read the trilogy. But as a person who read this first, the lack of anything is a bit boring and un-engaging. But AGAIN, that’s on me, I did this read order wrong. I am however intrigued enough by the plot and what this short story was setting up, and I will make sure to pick up the first book. The style of the author is very captivating and I love how I was able to feel just how much distrust the protagonist has with her own mind and judgement. I love complicated and human the characters are, and so far, I find the depiction of the fae here to be exactly what I’ve been trying to find for a while. Fae that feels like fae. The narration for this story is brilliant, no notes.
Ending a bit of a disappointment I.was hoping for a small ray of sunshine for Cathrine.
Great narration. The storyline has possibilities. I wonder how it continues.
