Summary
When a Republican party wins the General Election, they strip the royal family of everything and send them to live on a housing estate in the Midlands. Exchanging caviar for boiled eggs, servants for a social worker named Trish, the Queen and her family learn what it means to be poor among the great unwashed. Is their breeding sufficient to allow them to rise above their changed circumstance or deep down are they really just like everyone else?

The first thing I noticed was the author's voice could be a bit shrill at times and the volume would exceed or diminish so that I couldn't hear. Kind of a ridiculous story with an abrupt ending. I did find some humor in it though.

This book has an interesting premise, but it isn't cultivated into a great story. I've never stopped listening to a book half way through, but I did on this one. I'm also returning it. The narrator employs a high pitched screech during much of the book. It's so annoying that I couldn't have finished the book even if it was enjoyable.
