Unabridged Audiobook
I love Somerset Maugham's style and story telling. This story takes the reader back to the days when missionary zeal masked intolerance and some hypocrisy. The reader feels real sympathy for the "fallen woman" at the heart of the story although she is not really a likeable character when all is said and done. While this is quite a slow moving story, its short length really keeps you engage. This was actually the second time I listened to this.
The story was actually a good one, but the narrator made it seem arduous. I was disappointed
Wonderful story. Needs a better narrator
